Southern California Super Eliminator started in 1998 with a four race schedule just to see how well it would be received as a new class. Andy Spiegal, one of the co-founders won the Opening race, followed by Ronnie Marcum driving Greg Suyenaga's car, Followed by Andy Spiegal winning the third event and Pat Jones Winning the Final race of the year.
The Founding Fathers were Greg Suyenaga, Larry Winters, Pat Jones and Andy Spiegal. Greg Suyenaga served as President from 1999 to 2002, then Don Steed and Bobby Lentz served as president for the 2003 season, The following year, (2004) Greg Suyenaga and Paul Russel was the management team. For the 2005 season, Rick Dessinger, Tom Dufur took over and are currently running the association business.
