We’re still looking for a sponsor for Sunday’s race to guarantee $1000.00 to win with a 12 car min on May 13^th. The gate time is 7 AM on both days. See our 2005 schedule on page 2

 

As you all know, Gregg has left the S/E association to start a new adventure. Taking over the reins are Rick Dessinger as President, Tom Dufur as our media person, and Kevin Quinlan and his wife Tracy as Treasury and Finance.

 

There will be a few small changes for the 2005 season; first, the club entry fee will be $110.00 per day. The additional $10 fee goes to pay our new race director, Jennifer (Tracy’s niece) for her time and effort. We prefer checks for your entry fees, but we won’t refuse cash (checks are better though…  bet you never thought you’d hear that).

 

 Also, we have secured K&N Filters as a Series Sponsor, and we’re still in negotiation with another company to share the headline of the series. We’ll be making that announcement when it happens!!!

As always we will have a driver’s meeting at Kevin’s trailer about 20 minutes after the last qualifying session, just look for the familiar blue Super E flag. We will have our SCSE “blue flag” up at our trailers at all of the SCSE races, so it will be easier to find us.  Usually it will be at Kevin Quinlan’s trailer. At the Fontana events, Kevin will be parked at the top end of the track, and we should all try to pit in the same area if possible.

 

If you are broken please let us know ASAP or before the last S/E car goes down the track in our last qualifying session, otherwise you will be put on the ladder and it will not be fair to the other racers.

 

Also a special thanks to Clay Smith Engineering for the Bonus awards, just remember that you need to run their decal for the whole race to receive the bonus awards.

 

We are still doing a monthly SCSE racer profile to put in the newsletters and on our web site, you can give Rick a call with your information or you can do it on our web site along with your pictures.

 

Kevin & Tracy Quinlan are working very hard to get more money for the year end bonuses and it looks very good for the top 10 finishers.

 

Congratulations to Jonathon Fiello, our 2004 Super Eliminator Champion. Jonathon and about 30 other Super E racers, crew, family and friends celebrated a very successful 2004 season on November 19 at the Super Comp/Super Eliminator Banquet. Thanks to Jack DeRencin for putting together a memorable evening for all involved.
